There are numerous ranks and roles of Greater Venith, a few of which are administration-related while the others are merely titles given to those to volunteer for the arts, newspapers, etc.
The highest rank in Greater Venith. The couple or person with this role has the ability to do basically whatever they want. The only legal way for the Emperor or Empress to be removed, without death, is resignation. HOWEVER, if neither the Emperor nor Empress is able to serve, one or multiple members of the COUNCIL will fill in for them until their return.
COUNCIL
This is the second highest rank in Greater Venith, those appointed to the COUNCIL by the current or previous ruler(s) can do whatever they want, should the current emperor/empress not explicitly tell them otherwise. They can only be removed by death, resignation, or the ruler(s) wishes.
SENATE
This is basically a slightly more prestigeous GUARD, or rather, slightly less prestigeous COUNCIL member. They are bound to numerous restrictions on their power, but they often still can take all moderator actions on any VNTH-affiliated group(s). They cannot see all logs taken in Greater Venith, nor can they permaban from the venith.net website (but they CAN ban or kick people from off-site VNTH groups in most cases). Those with this role can be removed by the ruler, otherwise death or resignation is necessary to remove them. In the future, COUNCIL members may be explicitly allowed to remove them if the ruler(s) do not interfere, under the condition that 2/3 of the COUNCIL agrees on the removal, but this is not in effect at the moment.
GUARDS
The janitor role of VNTH. They are the first line of defense against spammers. They cannot ban, nor can they see the vast majority of logs. Most of them only have power within specific groups of VNTH, i.e. someone who guards the Venith DeviantArt group will NOT have to guard the Telegram group, etc. The role mainly serves to flex on other Venithians that you are more liked by the GRAND EMPEROR, while stopping the lazier spammers for fun. Those with this role can be removed as per desired, since automated moderation often handles much of the simplistic spam in the modern era.
